3 mistakes that should be avoided while using jQuery

JQuery is the most powerful JavaScript library which is growing popular amongst the web developers. It is very easy to use and is quite similar to CSS due to its comfort. It has good performance. Here are 3 mistakes that you should avoid while using jQuery in your website design.

  1. Using an old version of jQuery – When a new version is launched for any software or programming tool, it is meant to be better. A higher version is always quick, updated and free of errors as compared to previous version. The latest version of jQuery is 1.7.2.
  2. Not checking the plug-ins before integrating them to your website – See to it whether your tooltip plug-in is not bigger in size. If it is bigger, there is some error. Debug it. Check for the performance of the plug-in too. Also, check whether the plug-in you are using is compatible with all the major browsers. Do not forget the mobile compatibility too.
  3. Using jQuery for server side tasks – You should check everything on server task. Don’t depend on jQuery for things like masking and validating. See to it that jQuery works even when JS is disabled.
